Curiosity first.Then, make it.

On a screen. In the palm of my hand.

NOW / IN PROGRESSLast updated

Right now, I’m building
a place to meet people.

About TONALINQ
An open notebook symbolizing a new chapter, a concept image
An idea becomes a next step.IMAGE / AI
DOING
Building a place, starting in Hiroshima, to encounter local people by chance and discover the stories behind what they do.
CHANGED
Refined how to introduce people and the background to their activities.
NEXT
How can a chance encounter grow into a connection from one person to the next?

BETWEEN DIGITAL & PHYSICAL

Different pursuits.
The same curiosity.

Building web apps. Polishing mortar.
Taking photographs. Putting observations into words.
It always starts with: “What if I tried making it?”

01 / SELECTED PROJECTS

Curiosity, made tangible.

Things I’ve made.
Things I’m still making.

Not quite as planned. Still, I try again.IMAGE / AI

MORTAR / RESINPrototyping

ROOTS

Away from the screen. Back to the materials.

WHY
I wanted to make something with mortar. Not just pour it into a ready-made mold, but design the shape myself. That curiosity brought 3D design and handcraft together.
NOW
Still exploring a finish suitable for a product. Making, sanding, photographing, and learning from people’s responses.
NEXT
Keep refining how the finished surface feels in the hand.

AI / PERSONAL DEVELOPMENTOn hold

BrandMate

Between building something and getting it used.

WHY
I felt how difficult it was to keep posting consistently. Connecting Instagram posts with AI analysis, I wanted to build a service other people could use, too.
NOW
Currently on hold while I focus on TONALINQ and other priorities.
NEXT
When I return, start by making the first step clear and easy to understand.
Read the story behind it

02 / DIGITAL

From “what if”
to something that works.

Something that bothers me. An insight from a conversation.
I turn small beginnings into something people can use.
Try it, rethink it, and try again.

Making it is only the beginning

A QUESTION TO KEEP

Someone opens it for the first time.
Where do they begin?

A question that came from building BrandMate

03 / PHYSICAL MAKING

Away from the screen.
Back to the materials.

A shape designed in 3D becomes something I can hold.
Air bubbles, chipped edges, an unexpected color.
Each gives me a clue for what to try next.

04 / JOURNEY

The paths connect, in time.

I don’t have to choose just one title.

01STABLE

AGES 18–33

Fifteen years at one company.

At Mazda, I worked in manufacturing and office roles. I operated large NC milling machines and wrote programs to cut metal. Making things has been a thread ever since.

02PAUSE

2022—2023

Parental leave. Time to pause.

A year of parental leave following the birth of my second child. Stepping away from work gave me time to think about how I wanted to work and what I wanted to try.

03RESET

2023 / AGE 33

At 33, I left the company.

Leaving a company after fifteen years. What could I do outside familiar ground? I took the next step before I had an answer.

04LEARN

2024—

A beginner, again.

I studied web development through vocational training and moved into IT. Looking things up, one question at a time. It began with being a beginner again.

05BUILD

DIGITAL & PHYSICAL

Writing code. Mixing mortar.

Building AI tools and web apps. Designing shapes in 3D, making molds, and casting mortar. They seem different, but both bring something in my head into the world.

06NOW

NOW

Making, without choosing just one thing.

Employee, engineer, maker, photographer, writer. And father of three. None of these alone defines me; together, they make up who I am today.

05 / JOURNAL

Notes between the making.

Less about having the answers.
More about thinking things through.
