Fifteen years at one company.
At Mazda, I worked in manufacturing and office roles. I operated large NC milling machines and wrote programs to cut metal. Making things has been a thread ever since.

Machining metal. Taking photographs. Writing code. Mixing mortar. What I make has changed, but I think I’ve always liked bringing something out of my head and into the world.

2022—2023
Parental leave. Time to pause.
A year of parental leave following the birth of my second child. Stepping away from work gave me time to think about how I wanted to work and what I wanted to try.
03RESET
2023 / AGE 33
At 33, I left the company.
Leaving a company after fifteen years. What could I do outside familiar ground? I took the next step before I had an answer.
04LEARN
2024—
A beginner, again.
I studied web development through vocational training and moved into IT. Looking things up, one question at a time. It began with being a beginner again.
05BUILD
DIGITAL & PHYSICAL
Writing code. Mixing mortar.
Building AI tools and web apps. Designing shapes in 3D, making molds, and casting mortar. They seem different, but both bring something in my head into the world.
06NOW
NOW
Making, without choosing just one thing.
Employee, engineer, maker, photographer, writer. And father of three. None of these alone defines me; together, they make up who I am today.
A THOUGHT I COME BACK TO
Only those who chase two rabbits
have a chance of catching both.
I don’t have to narrow it down to one thing.
I can try, and see how far I get.

A moment that feels like you.
As a former Lovegraph photographer, I photographed families and people in their natural moments. I want photographs to bring back not just a scene, but the feeling of being there.
